  • Meaghan Gasiorowski

    Assistant Principal
    Ms. Gasiorowski is a Virginia Beach native who began her educational career in Prince William County Schools. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, she spent 11 years in the classroom teaching students in grades 3, 4, and 5. Her passion for building strong relationships, supporting student success, and fostering a positive school culture continues to guide her work as a school leader.
    Ms. Gasiorowski earned both her bachelor's degree and Master of Teaching Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She later earned a Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia. She is committed to lifelong learning and believes in empowering both students and staff to reach their fullest potential.
    Outside of school, Ms. Gasiorowski enjoys spending time with her family. You can often find her cheering on her son and daughter at swim meets, taking her dog on long walks and river swims, or spending time with her closest friends. She is proud to serve the Leesylvania Elementary community and looks forward to partnering with families to ensure every child feels supported, challenged, and successful.

  • Mia Wishard

    Administrative Intern

    Hello! My name is Mia Wishard, and I am honored to serve as the Administrative Intern at Leesylvania Elementary School. I hold a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia and have taught kindergarten, third grade, and middle school mathematics throughout my career in education.

    In addition to my classroom experience, I have coordinated and supported summer learning programs, SOL preparation, curriculum development, family and community engagement, and teacher mentorship. These experiences have strengthened my passion for elementary education and my commitment to supporting the whole child.

    As a school leader, I believe every student deserves to feel safe, valued, challenged, and supported. I am committed to being a visible and positive presence for our Eagle Scholars, building meaningful relationships with students and staff, partnering with families, and supporting high-quality learning experiences that help every child reach their full potential. One of my greatest joys as an educator is watching our students SOAR as they grow in confidence, embrace challenges, celebrate their successes, and become determined scholars.

    Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, reading, staying active, cheering on the Yankees and Cowboys, snuggling with my pup Reggie, and spending quality time with my husband and son.

    I am proud to be part of the Leesylvania community and look forward to continuing to Grow Determined Scholars and helping every Eagle SOAR!
